What Ray says about this piece:

Father’s Day was yesterday and my eight year daughter reduced me to an absolute emotional wreck with her homemade card. 😭

Nia also had a worksheet from school with a series of questions she filled out:

1. My favourite memory of my Dad is: “when he read me a story in funny voices”
2. This is what he always says: “I love you”
3. When he comes home from work, he likes to: “Talk to me”
4. This makes my Dad laugh: “When I laugh”

Reading this made me incredibly happy and a bit teary eyed – I of course explained to Nia that it must the onions I cut last week.😜

That got me think about parenthood. Before Lisa and I had Nia, we had our lives… when Nia was born we had our life ❤️
