Were you Born in a Field? A5 Print
What Ray says about this piece:
In Ireland, the saying – “were you born in a field” means that you have forgotten to close the door behind you. Growing up In my household it meant closing the door to keep the heat in the room! 🥶
Of course, this repeated childhood message meant that I developed obsession for closing doors. Completely NORMAL behaviour 😜
The ‘Magic Door’ in Bosco stopped being magic to five year old me when Frank, Grainne or Bosco forgot to close the door after themselves. To me they didn’t care that all the heat was escaping from Dublin Zoo, cracker factories and the Pheonix Park. In my humble opinion this might have been a contributory factor towards global warming 😜
